Noida, October 28, 2016: CREDAI Western UP today announced that it is supporting the cause of voter ID card for the new residents of Noida and Greater Noida through allocating eight vehicles to make the process smooth. District Magistrate NP Singh flagged off the cavalcade that will ferry the officers to various locations to speed up the completion of the task. Residents, who have moved to the area, have been requesting for the voter IDs and after getting approval from election department the process has started. It is expected that the process is expected to complete well before the assembly elections.
Election department has been working tirelessly to make sure the residents of these new areas do not miss out on voting rights. Recently it launched a mobile app “Know your booth”, which help the new residents in finding the right booth where they can go and vote.
“CREDAI and Noida Administration under the kind direction of District Magistrate Mr. N P Singh have come together to fasten the process of Voter ID cards. We have extended our support by allocating 8 vehicles so that the residents should not face any difficulty and it will also help administration in getting right information about the prospective voters as well. We are sure that with this step the administration will be able to complete the process at the earliest,” says Deepak Kapoor, President, CREDAI Western UP.
The administration will organise voters’ enrolment camps at new societies and expects to register 30,000-40,000 people. The drive will be conducted from Thursday, September 15, to January 2, 2017.
