L&T Construction Wins Orders Valued Rs. 2101 Crores

The construction arm of L&T has won orders worth Rs. 2101 crores across various business segments in March 2015.

Heavy Civil Infrastructure Business:

The Business has secured orders worth Rs. 1664 crores including add-ons.

A major order has been secured from the Public Works Department, Delhi for the construction of Phase-III of Barapullah Elevated Corridor in Delhi.

The project connects Sarai Kale Khan and Mayur Vihar through the elevated corridor across river Yamuna. The scope includes construction of 550m – 6 lane extra dosed bridge and 4.3km- 4 lane elevated road, a flyover at Mayur Vihar Side, connecting loops, cycle tracks, road works, architectural lighting and other allied works.

The entire corridor is designed as dual carriageway. This is the first bridge in India having 6 lane extra dosed carriageway with dedicated walkways and cycle track on both sides of the bridge.

The aesthetics of the extra dosed bridge is enhanced by providing state of art LED light fixtures.

The project is scheduled to be completed in 30 months.

It is expected that the entire Barapullah corridor will operate around 1,50,000 vehicles by 2020.

Water & Renewable Energy Business:

The Business has secured an order worth Rs. 267 crores.

An order was received from Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam for the construction of 242km waste water network and 3 Nos. waste water pumping stations in Allahabad.

The network shall be constructed through High Density Polyethylene, Reinforced Cement Concrete and Ductile Iron pipes of various diameters.

The project is funded by World Bank under NGRBA scheme (National Ganga River Basin Authority).

Additional orders worth Rs. 170 crores have also been received from various ongoing jobs of Buildings & Factories Business.
