New Delhi, November 04, 2017: Having been in the urban development and real estate sector for about fifteen years now, I’ve witnessed many radical changes. The advent of multiplexes and malls, the growing segment of economy apartments and even eco-friendly homes, to name a few.  The past five years have seen yet another revolution brewing, slowly but surely, in Bengaluru. I can indeed see what our future looks like!

Bengaluru has grown immensely from being a Pensioner’s Paradise into a bustling metropolis that it is today. People from all over India, even the world, now call the city their home. Whether it’s the burgeoning IT sector, the famed pleasant weather or the thriving art and culture scene that brings people here, what keeps them here is definitely just one common thing – the great refreshing lifestyle that the city offers. Bengaluru has been ranked by Mercer as the third best Indian city to live-in for its quality of life. This unique status of being affordable and yet offering a great lifestyle, is what makes Bengaluru special.

Over the past few years, we’ve seen a radical shift in how Bengaluru is choosing to live. And it’s telling the rest of India how new-age urban living is done. Large, trusted names in the real estate sector have created integrated townships that are a step ahead of our current ones. Not only do they offer residences, hotels and office spaces within the community, but also cultural destinations, social spaces, entertainment zones, thriving restaurants with bar offerings, complimenting retail zones, community kitchen gardens and wait-for-it, a resplendent nature. Main roads are being redrawn, infrastructure is being upgraded to world class standards and lifestyles are being reimagined. This could be rightly the most exciting real estate development of this decade!

One no longer needs to fathom leaving one’s sustainable, majestic eco-friendly home and walking through gardens and fountains for about five minutes before one gets to work. For lunch, you can step out and take a pick from a world of cuisines, and eat at a gorgeous promenade overlooking the lake or a sprawling garden. After work, as you walk back, you could pick fresh supplies for dinner, take your children to the park and head out for a late-night film next door, at a plush multiplex. And when you have to head to the main city, you can hop on to the metro close by or whiz through in your car, cab or even the public transport. All this, in the heart of an Indian mega-city.

The real estate sector has been keeping pace with India’s dramatically changing requirements, and has managed staying ahead of them. The increasing stress of work, the challenges of living in nuclear families, the importance of saving commute time, the need for a holistic lifestyle and creating spaces that are environment friendly – all have culminated into works of art that we call sustainable, new-age townships. It takes years and years of planning, passion, hard work and foresight to curate these spaces that thousands of families will call home. I’m proud that at Karle Infra, we’ve been able to create a benchmark township that will radically change the way we live our lives.

Bengaluru townships have seamlessly integrated work, homes and support facilities to create spaces that India is yet to see across the country. Slowly, but surely, we are moving to a lifestyle where we spend more time engaging in productive activities, rather than sweating it out commuting or living in homes that fail to provide us the lifestyle we all deserve. If what we see in Bengaluru is any indication of what the next generation is going to grow up in, I can say with confidence that the future is bright.
