Mumbai, January 19, 2016: The 8th edition of AICA or the Artists in Concrete Awards which are organized annually by Reify since the year 2007 will be held in Mumbai from 20th – 22nd January 2016 at CIDCO Exhibition, Vashi, Navi Mumbai. This prestigious festival, celebrates excellence in architecture, landscape designing & interior designing and attracts participants and attendees from around the world, Asian and Global names form the jury and presenters. This 3-day festival offers a bird’s eye view of the global architectural, interior designing and construction scenario. When India is gearing up towards the age of Smart Cities, this festival is a right platform where design professionals will conjure to discuss and deliberate on worldwide trends in Design, Architecture, landscape and interior designing.

More than seventy five top architects from the country like Ar. Kamal Malik, Ar. Ratan Batliboi, Ar. Uttam Jain, Ar. Ambarish Arora, Ar. Oscar, Ar. Niroop Kumar Reddy, Ar. Qutub Mandviwala, Ar. Vistasp Bhagwagar, will be showcasing their 180 shortlisted projects. This year around thirty five international architects will be also being displaying their projects. In Global pavilion of infrastructure and urban development, participants from twenty two countries will be showcasing their infrastructure and urban development projects. The event will see Architects and designers from various countries like America, Indonesia, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Costa Rica, Mexico, Austria, France, Lebanon, Vietnam, Cyprus, South Korea, Netherlands, Jordan, Estonia, Panama, Thailand and Bangladesh.

In the central part of the venue there will be a one-of-its-kind fabulous display of ‘Material Installations’ constructed by using different materials like glass, steel, plywood etc and being displayed distinctively as “Material Experience Pavilions”. Each pavilion will be a showcase of the unique collaboration between an architect and material company. It will be constructed and erected on site just before the event. ‘Interaction’ and ‘Innovation’ are the key words here, wherein the people visiting the festival over the three days will be able to go through a very different experience altogether. This material pavilion will also showcase the versatility and capacity of designers from India.

“AICA (Artists in Concrete Awards) is three day business festival of India and International Architects at Asia level with international jury members. This festival will include live presentations of participating architects, seminars of international Architects. There will be an open live jury to finalize the award winners”, explains Ar. Prashant Sutaria, Director, AICA. He further adds, “For the first time you will be able to see live demo of architectural paintings by international and Indian architects together on 2 x 2 ft. canvas on a 100mtr long wall of fame.

Thus, AICA is the only platform where the industry gets to witness & implement ideas by a significant number of India and international architects together indulging in variable activities.
