NAREDCO to organize 13th National Convention and Exhibition in Delhi

New Delhi, July 22, 2016: National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO) is organizing its 13th National Convention and Exhibition on the theme- ‘India is future ready: Housing and Infrastructure- Key Catalyst’ on August 19-20, 2016 at Hotel Taj Palace, S.P. Marg, New Delhi. On the sidelines of the Convention, awards will be given to individuals, institutions and organizations for their meritorious contribution in Real Estate sector under the Scroll of Honor. 

Hon’ble Prime Minister has been invited to address the real estate stakeholders, which will also expected to be attended by Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, Hon’ble Union minister of Urban Development, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation and Information & Broadcasting; Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Minister for Road Transport and Highways and Shipping; Shri Piyush Goel, Hon’ble Minister of State with Independent Charge for Power, Coal, New and Renewable Energy and Mines and Shri Jayant Sinha, Hon’ble Minister of Civil Aviation, besides other Central Ministers, Chief Ministers, Secretaries, Chief Secretaries and Urban Local Bodies from the states.

The convention is expected to be attended by nearly 700 delegates with brightest minds from different streams related to real estate in the country. Eminent personalities such as politicians, bureaucrats, developers, contractors, banking institutions, private equity players etc. will interact and brainstorm during sessions and discuss way forward on various issues in realty sector. Delegates from Denmark, Finland, Korea and China have also been invited to take part in the Convention.

Mr. Rajeev Talwar, Chairman, NAREDCO, said, “Given that about 11 crore houses are required to be constructed to provide housing to all, many new cities will come up and existing cities expand over the next decade to accommodate the evolving urban landscape and other developments, thus paving way for the real estate sector in India to grow at a faster pace. Keeping this in mind, the Convention will be focusing on strategies for exploiting the potential of real estate as the best asset class and engine of high economic growth in the coming years.”

Mr. Parveen Jain, President, NAREDCO, said, “The confidence of stake holders, especially developers and investors, has dented because of slowdown in the sector, the Convention would thereby provide a platform to discuss these challenges and evolve ways to accelerate the pace of real estate growth in the country. At the same time, the developer community has to work hard to gain the confidence of the customers.”

Spread over two days, the sessions of the Convention shall focus on the themes include growth of real estate and infrastructure and its various dynamics; Affordable housing and the way forward; Legal and regulatory framework for the real estate sector; Media’s role in development of Nation; Relationship between banks and realty sector; Evolution of private equity and NBFCs’ role in Indian real estate sector and Innovation in the real estate sector, amongst other things. In addition, there will be round table discussions too with prominent personalities.

The speakers will be drawn from government, academia, real estate industry and financial institutions who have experience and international exposure.

On the sidelines of the Convention, a B2B Exhibition has also been planned where manufacturers, suppliers and technology providers will be able to showcase their products and services to reach out to the who’s who of Real Estate Sector who are also their potential clients. Under Scroll of Honor, meritorious contributions in real estate sector, will be recognized and awarded in Government, public or private sectors.
