We are pleased to inform you that GRIHA Council is hosting “The GRIHA Regional Summit 2018”on 4th& 5th October at HAL Convention Centre, Bengaluru. The theme for this summit “Sustainable Alternatives to Urban Fabric” is aligned to focus on selection of the most optimal technologies and building materials to minimize impact on our environment, economy and communities, critical to sustainable development.
GRIHA Council is a not-for-profit independent Society, created by TERI and MNRE(Ministry of New and Renewable Energy) Govt. of India to administer, promote andimplement GRIHA in the country.GRIHA is an indigenous green building rating system developed specifically to suit Indian climate and construction practices.In India’s Intended Nationally Determined Contribution (INDC) document submitted at Conference of Parties (COP) 21 in Paris GRIHA has been highlighted as an indigenous green building rating system developed in India.
The 2-day Summit aims to bring together experts from industry, finance policy and consumers to develop and drive new initiatives with respect to sustainability in habitats. It shall serve as a platform for stakeholders to discuss innovations and ideas that can change the way buildings are conceived, constructed and operated. It will be a confluence of individuals from various backgrounds and shall provide an opportunity to promote sustainability, environmental responsibility and exchange of vital knowledge.
The upcoming summit is expected to be attended by more than 150 delegates and shall serve as a platform to deliberate on and share collective knowledge pertaining to innovative and indigenous solutions for transforming our habitats sustainably.
