Pune, May 28, 2020: Gera Developments, with a track record of over 49 years, one of the pioneers of the real estate industry and the creators of the innovative ChildCentric® Homes has successfully conceptualised and launched the Gera’s FamJam series of activities for its ChildCentric® Homes customers to keep families engaged during the current lockdown. The activities started with a virtual art workshop wherein the entire family could participate.

The first virtual art workshop ‘Gera’s FamJam with Art’ was a collaborative drawing workshop conducted by a professional artist via a live webinar that was simulcast on the social media pages of Gera Developments. It was a guided exercise to help families draw a pretty picture symbolizing their World of Joy, together, with basic colours available at home. The workshop was conceptualized keeping the varying drawing prowess in consideration, so even customers without special skills in drawing could participate wholeheartedly. Attendees could post their questions and comments via the live chat feature. Webinar links were shared with Gera’s ChildCentric® Homes customers via the GeraWorld® Mobile app which also enabled them to RSVP. It was open to all Gera customers and social media followers via Facebook live.

The dance workshop, which was scheduled on Friday, 1st May 2020 was the second in the series. It also followed the same module of a live guided session which was also relayed on social media. An expert from the Shiamak Davar Institute of Performing Arts (SDIPA), one of the celebrity-led learning academies associated with Gera’s ChildCentric® Homes, conducted this high-energy Bollywood Dance Workshop. Keeping in mind that not everyone is a born dancer, the expert taught participants some simple yet fun moves to foot tapping Bollywood tracks.

Both these workshops have seen enthusiastic participation from both customers and on social media. A Gera’s World of Joy customer, while commenting on the workshop said, “Gera’s FamJam series, so far has been a fun preview of the many joys that our kids will experience at the several celebrity learning academies at Gera’s ChildCentric® Homes. These virtual workshops are an innovative and interesting way to get the entire family engaged in an activity together. They were thoroughly enjoyable and well thought through. These gestures do go to show that the developer cares for us and is sensitive to our needs. It’s not just a transaction but a long-term relationship giving us that much needed comfort.”

Sharing his thoughts about these initiatives, Mr. Rohit Gera, MD, Gera Developments said, “Gera’s ChildCentric® Homes has been built on the idea of providing safety, convenience, fun and development to children, right at their doorstep. This is done through best-in-class facilities and coaching by our partner academies which have the best talent in their fields, at the helm such as Shankar Mahadevan, Shiamak Davar, Mahesh Bhupathi, Anil Kumble, Pullela Gopichand, Dipa Karmakar, Bhaichung Bhutia. We have been conducting on-ground workshops and events for our customers since the launch of our ChildCentric® Homes as a means to nurture communities.

While everyone is adhering to the lockdown guidelines, the monotony of the routine, we learnt, was becoming a dampener. To enliven the situation and give our customers’ families fun opportunities to bond over, we decided to initiate these virtual workshops. ChildCentric® Homes is about building communities and ecosystems and these initiatives, our way of telling our loyal customers that we’re with them even in these difficult times.

Excelling at customer service and giving them the best experiences, is at the core of our service philosophy. Businesses will go through changes so also customer engagement approaches, we have to adapt quickly and embrace the new normal to be relevant and outdo.”
