Danube Group is one of the first private companies in Dubai to announce its new work week, in line with the new government directive announced by the UAE government.

New Delhi, December 11, 2021: Danube Group, Dubai’s leading building material, real estate and retail home furnishing, conglomerate is one of the first few companies who announced their new work week cycle today starting 1st of January 2022, in line with the UAE governments new directives of a shorter work week, the Group intends to retain its two-day weekend (on Saturdays and Sundays) rather than have a two-and-a-half one starting Friday afternoon.

The organizations workforce of 4000 employees will be provided a 2-hour break on Friday for prayers, their UAE head office will follow a Monday to Friday work week, weekends will be moved to Saturday and Sunday, the rest of their retail outlets and building material outlets will operate according to the markets.

The move away from the current Sunday to Thursday schedule — the first by a Gulf state — will help the UAE achieve business continuity and alignment with global economies and banking, the group also feels this is a great strategy and will now have more foreign direct investments pouring in and more multinationals who will be keen to start operations in the UAE, this will be a huge catalyst and will put the UAE economy as the Numero Uno on the world map very soon.
