Wednesday 14th Feb 2018: Hotel Taj Vivanta, MG Road, Bengaluru, 08:30 a.m

New Delhi, February 08, 2018: India’s manufacturing sector has the potential to touch $1 trillion by 2025. It is likely that the sector will account for 25-30 per cent of the country’s GDP and will create up to 90 million domestic jobs by 2025.

How do you view the challenges of future in Manufacturing? Is Technology needed to leverage the business growth?

For building a world class organisation, energized, empowered and committed employees should know that they are part of the company’s success. Manufacturing companies whether MNC’s or MSME’s should rediscover the power that comes from superior manufacturing .They should initiate a variety of activities to improve their competitiveness. In today’s turbulent competitive environment, a company more than ever needs a strategy that specifies the kind of competitive advantage that it is seeking in its marketplace and articulates how that advantage is to be achieved.

By 2020, India is expected to become a major automobile manufacturing hub and the third largest market for automobiles in the world contributing approximately 25 % of the GDP. The complete manufacturing ecosystem is undergoing a phenomenal shift with technological advancements happening at a rapid pace. The need to understand and adopt the advanced manufacturing techniques is the need of hour. Industry 4.0’s primary appeal lies in its ability to act as an economic game-changer, which would open up a myriad of opportunities for companies to revamp or create entirely new offerings and business models.

Industry 4.0, christened so based on its promise as the fourth industrial revolution, encompasses a wide spectrum of technological advances across the value-chain. Industry 4.0 technologies – Automation / Robotics, Artificial intelligence,  Internet of Things, Additive Manufacturing, etc. – are revolutionizing traditional manufacturing processes. As a result of increased use of digital technologies, the boundary between the real and the virtual world is increasingly blurring.

Each Operational Excellence initiative requires the optimization of a company’s key resources – People, Process & technology – working in harmony to achieve your business objectives.

Shri R. V. Deshpande, Hon’ble Minister for Large and Medium Industries & Infrastructure Development, Govt. of Karnataka will deliver the Inaugural address for this conference.

Currently Manufacturing sector plays 12% of employment generation in the county. Industry Institute Engagement will play a major role for India’s growth & will drive for India’s growth.
