The much awaited Big 5 Construct India 2013 kicks off in less than a fortnight

Mumbai, August 23, 2013:  The International building and construction event, The Big 5 Construct India 2013 to be held from 2nd to 4th September in Mumbai, will showcase new technologies and launches in product sectors like steel, concrete, plastics & composites, ceramics & tiles, stones & marbles, pipes & fittings, paints & coatings, pumps, HVAC, water technology, window & doors and aluminium.

The show would feature 10 international country pavilions and over 220 participating companies from India and abroad.

International exhibitors include Emirates Steel, Duro Dyne, Rimac, Al Chimica and Zennio while Indian exhibitors include Jindal Stainless Steel, Asian Paints, Astral CPGC, Tekla and Ashtech.  Many companies would be launching new products and several would be exhibiting for the first time in India.

Mr. Mohammed Al Afari, AVP, Emirates Steel, the Platinum Partner for the event said, “We have participated in other editions of The Big 5 in other parts of the world and they all offered us many opportunities to showcase our products and promote our business. This time too we plan to exhibit our range, including rebar, wire rod and heavy sections. We believe that this event will be good for our business, knowing that it is taking place in a market that is growing every year and poised for exceptional growth.”

Elina Virchenko, Business Development Manager, Conares Steel, Dubai said, “This will be the first time we are exhibiting in India and we expect that The Big 5 Construct India is the right platform to introduce Conares rebars, tubes and pipes.”

Bond It, a specialty company from the UK would be showcasing their super stretch and wrap rescue tape, an ultimate multi-purpose repair tape.  Steve Bulless, Business Development Manager, said, “We do not have customers in India yet and we are hoping to pick up agents and distributors for this miraculous tape, the world’s leading brand for this type of product.”

Konstantinos Poulakis, Executive Manager, Alchimica Building Chemicals, Greece said, “We would be exhibiting our extensive range of solvent and non solvent base polyurethane products used for waterproofing in a green way.  Of course, we would also be launching several new products at the show.”

Lum Havolli, Business Development Manager, Globecoat, said “We would be exhibiting our range of sculptural panels, resin floors and resin wall panels, all green and high-end products.”

Among the Indian exhibitors, Ashtech plans to hold product demos to get inputs and feedbacks.  Sanjay Mandhania, Director, said, “We shall launch our new range of crystal marbles, coloured concrete and gypsum plaster at the show.”

Rossari Biotech have invited their international principals and JV partners, Knopp of Germany to demonstrate their new screed additives and Drizoro of Spain, to showcase their patented products for underground structure waterproofing and cementitious sealant.

Arc would launch PVD coated stainless steel at the event.

The Big 5 is widely regarded as a “must visit” event for any professional from the construction industry and gives valuable insight into new developments and trends.  It is also a great platform for buyers and sellers who are keen to explore opportunities for doing business.  The Big 5 in Dubai last year attracted over 60,000 audited buyers of construction products. — CCI Newswire
