OwnersTown Launches AgentsTown – An Innovative Mobile App for ‘Everything An Agent Needs’, in a bid to Enable A Better Future for Real Estate Agents in India

The ‘free to sign up’ mobile app allows property agents to connect with one another, build their network and close deals in a seamless and faster manner

Bengaluru, July 29, 2021: Bengaluru-headquartered property management solutions provider OwnersTown has launched a first-of-its-kind mobile app  named AgentsTown. The app is providing a one-stop profitable ecosystem for all kinds of real estate agents in India, and is enabling the agents to have faster, smoother and more efficient closures of their property deals.

The app aims to boost the profits/earnings of real estate agents by enabling them with a platform to post free-of-cost ‘UNLIMITED’ properties along with getting the right buyer for their property through its ‘Requirements’ module — which allows matching the requirement of a person with the right property and vice versa. Additionally, the app empowers local and/or first-time agents/brokers by helping them to build connections with other experienced brokers and thereby grow in their careers.

With its simplistic, easy-to-use interface and Cloud-based data storage, AgentsTown mobile app allows people to post their property details, post requirements, connect with verified agents and even get rewarded with exciting in-app rewards/incentives and cashback! Further, the inclusion of the PDF feature within this app makes it easier for the brokers to just download and share a PDF showcasing in-depth detail of their property in a professional and systematic manner. Other useful features on the app are – the creation of agents’/brokers’ networking groups with unlimited users (no restrictions on the number of users on any group) and a ‘newsfeed’ section wherein everyday property news, locality-based price trends for properties, etc. is showcased.

Speaking on the launch of the app, Abhishek Jindal, Founder & CEO, OwnersTown says, “We are delighted to  =launch AgentsTown, which offers a unique app-based the platform making it extremely convenient for the real estate agents to have everything they need on a phone. By using this app, the agents/brokers can find properties on the go get and receive relevant details and chat with multiple brokers and do much more — all via one app. Whether you are a local agent/broker or a top-end broker, the application strives to create a level playing field and equal opportunities for all. The idea and vision behind launching the app is to create sync of properties and property requirements in real-time thus allowing faster exposure and closure of the property deals. We strongly believe that the AgentsTown app will go a long way in reinvigorating the pulse of the industry after the pandemic.”

Sparsh Malhotra, Co-Founder, OwnersTown adds, “As a real estate consultancy firm ourselves, one major issue we at OwnersTown faced was in finding the right person for our clients’ properties. However, with the launch of the AgentsTown app, we have made it for the plethora of agents and brokers to get the right matching property for their requirements making it easier to complement one another for faster closures. The immediate objective of AgentsTown is to streamline the real estate industry allowing creating a professional and balanced ecosystem for agents to connect, grow and earn. Whereas our long-term objective is to expand to every Indian city possible and break the barrier of local real estate, thereby allowing every agent from different parts of the country to connect with one another and do business and also create a lucrative opportunity for first-timers to join the real estate sector.”

Notably, the AgentsTown app is currently catering to properties in Bangalore; however, as and when the unlocking process after the Covid-19 second wave lockdown begins, the app will start to inculcate properties in major cities such as Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi as well as other major and tier 2 cities in the near future. Following the launch of the app, OwnersTown is striving to connect agents with one another and push the boundaries of the traditional real estate market with a future-forward approach for the post-Covid times, whereby people can connect with verified agents from different cities while sitting in one place and using only one app, collaborate with the best agent from different localities and grow, earn and stay motivated.

The AgentsTown app is now available on Playstore (for Android) and Apple App Store  (for iOS).

RBI Holds Repo Rate at 5.25%; Realty Industry Sees Stability as Growth Driver The Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) decision to maintain the repo rate at 5.25% and retain its ‘neutral’ monetary policy stance in the third bi-monthly Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting of FY27 has elicited a measured response from the real estate industry. While the sector had hoped for a rate cut to further enhance home loan affordability and stimulate housing demand, industry leaders believe the RBI’s decision reflects a balanced approach amid elevated global uncertainties, volatile energy prices, and inflationary concerns. They noted that stable interest rates will continue to support buyer confidence, provide financial predictability for developers, and sustain the momentum witnessed in the residential real estate market. Mr. Kamlesh Thakur, President, NAREDCO Maharashtra “The RBI’s decision to maintain the repo rate at 5.25% while retaining a neutral stance reflects a prudent approach amid global uncertainties and evolving inflation dynamics. While the industry was hopeful of a rate cut, policy stability itself provides confidence to both developers and homebuyers. With borrowing costs remaining unchanged, housing demand is expected to continue its momentum, particularly in the mid-income and premium segments. The upward revision of India’s GDP growth projection to 6.7% underscores the resilience of the domestic economy. Going forward, as inflation moderates in line with the RBI’s expectations, there could be room for a more accommodative monetary policy. A future rate cut would further improve housing affordability, strengthen buyer sentiment, and accelerate investments across the residential and commercial real estate sectors.” Mr. Kaushal Agarwal, Chairman, The Guardians Real Estate Advisory “The RBI’s decision to keep the repo rate unchanged brings continuity and predictability to the market at a time when global geopolitical developments and inflationary pressures continue to create uncertainty. Stable interest rates ensure that home loan EMIs remain broadly unchanged, allowing prospective buyers to make informed purchasing decisions without concerns over rising borrowing costs. The Indian housing market has demonstrated remarkable resilience over the past few years, supported by strong end-user demand, rising incomes, and growing confidence in the economy. With GDP growth projected at 6.7%, we expect housing demand to remain healthy across key micro-markets.” Mr. Shilpin Tater, Managing Director, Superb Realty “The RBI’s decision to maintain the repo rate is a balanced move considering the current global economic environment and domestic inflation outlook. Policy stability is particularly important for the real estate sector as it enables developers to plan projects with greater financial certainty while allowing buyers to benefit from stable lending rates. Demand for quality residential & commercial developments, especially in well-connected urban locations, is expected to remain robust. We remain optimistic that supportive monetary measures in the future could further strengthen investment activity.” Ms. Shraddha Kedia-Agarwal, Director, Transcon Developers “The RBI has adopted a measured and responsible approach by maintaining the repo rate while closely monitoring inflationary trends and global developments. Although a rate cut would have enhanced affordability for homebuyers, the decision to maintain stability provides confidence to both consumers and developers in an uncertain macroeconomic environment. The premium and luxury housing segments continue to witness healthy demand driven by aspirational buyers and strong wealth creation, while the broader residential market remains supported by genuine end-user demand. Stable financing costs, coupled with India’s improving growth outlook, should sustain market momentum.” Mr. Dhruman Shah, Promoter, Ariha Group “The RBI’s decision to keep the repo rate unchanged reflects its focus on balancing growth with inflation management amidst ongoing global uncertainties. For the real estate sector, policy continuity is a positive outcome as it preserves financial stability and ensures that financing conditions remain predictable for both developers and homebuyers. Stable interest rates, combined with sustained infrastructure investments and urbanization, will continue to support residential sales.”
