Commonfloor Helps Chennai Flood Victims To Find & List Homes For Safe Shelter

Bangalore, December 05, 2015: As heavy rains continue to lash Chennai, the city is submerged in water and people are desperately in need of help and relief. Due to severe flooding, people from various parts of the city are left stranded on for long hours without food and proper shelter. To help the people in Chennai, CommonFloor – a leading real estate portal in the country has started an initiative – “WE ARE WITH CHENNAI” which comprises of two important activities i.e. ‘NEED FOR SHELTER’ and ‘PROVIDE FOR SHELTER. In Need for Shelter, anyone who is stuck in any part of Chennai, can look for nearby areas / houses and all those who are willing to help by providing shelter can share their details at CommonFloor site via Provide for Shelter.

Speaking on the importance of this initiative, SUMIT JAIN, CEO & CO-FOUNDER COMMONFLOOR SAID, “#WeAreWithChennai is our endeavor to provide readily available data to relief seekers stuck in Chennai floods and also it gives a platform to users to participate in providing shelter to people in need.
