The year was 1972; the task was a prestigious project to be completed at a cost of more than Rs.150 million at today’s price for the Indian National Highways. The specifications were exacting and the challenge was successfully met.

This, in brief was the humble beginning of B. Seenaiah & Co., founded by Mr. B. Kirshinaiah as a young engineer taking up construction of quality roads as a mission with vision and zeal; and he succeeded in creating and nurturing dedicated and motivated organization consisting of high caliber technical, finance and management experts.

During 80’s and 90’s the company grew from strength to strength leaving the stamp of quality in works executed by them including ADB & WB aided major road projects in the country. In 1998, the Firm was converted into a closely held Public Limited Company.

Over the years BSCPL has executed more than 400 kms of 4-laning / 6-laning projects undertaken by NHAI as part of NHDP as single entity / in Joint Ventures. The prestigious projects include the 6-laning of the Jaipur –Kishangarh section of NH-8, the most successful BOT Project to date, six months ahead of schedule as an EPC contractor as well as stakeholder in the SPV. The company has also executed the single longest concrete pavement road construction package of 62 kms. in length in the state of West Bengal forming part of Golden Quadrilateral. The Company has also executed road projects overseas in Afghanistan and Bangladesh. In Afghanistan the Company has successfully executed 6 projects spanning around 472 KM. working under most adverse and trying conditions.

The Company has forayed into Irrigation sector and has been awarded major projects with work orders of more than 858 Crores. The company has also taken up Real Estate development projects in DUBAI and in the State of Tamil Nadu. As a part of further diversification of activities the Company is also entering into Hydro Power Projects.

Having grown in size and stature over the last 27 years, the company has built up a strong reputation for quality construction in Highways sector and is a certified ISO 9001:2000 company. The present Work order position of the Company stands at more than 3250 Crores and is poised for tremendous growth in the coming years.
