Asian Granito in Fortune India’s List as one of The Next Fortune 500 companies

  • Company received an award from Fortune India as one of the Top Wealth Creators
  • The overall ranking of the company jumped 51 places to 197 in the year 2019 from 248 in 2018

New Delhi, September 21, 2019: Asian Granito India Ltd (AGIL), one of India’s largest tiles companies has been honoured by Fortune India as one of The Next Fortune 500 companies in its ranking for the year 2019. The company was honoured with the award from Fortune India as one of the Top Wealth Creators. The overall ranking of the company jumped 51 places to 197 in the year 2019 from 248 in 2018. For the FY 2018-19, AGIL reported a net sales of Rs. 1186.7 crore.

Mr. B. K Goenka, President, ASSOCHAM & Chairman, Welspun Group presented the award to Mr. Rakesh Patel, Associate, Asian Granito India Ltd at a ceremony organised in Mumbai. Mr. Sourav Majumdar, Editor, Fortune India and Subramanian Ananthapadmanabhan, VP, Digital Core, SAP Indian Subcontinent were also present at the event.

The Company has achieved 40 times growth in its production capacity, from 2,500 square meters per day in the year 2000 to currently more than 1 lakh square meter per day. Recognizing the remarkable growth. The company exports its products to 60 countries and aiming to expand its network to 100 countries in coming time.

Fortune India Next 500 is a ranking of the 500 midsized companies in India compiled the basis of latest sales and gross revenue figures. The list celebrates those organisations that fuel India’s economy.
