  • Around 500 kids participated in one of Mumbai’s biggest Navratri celebrations
  • An exciting evening with a series of activities and festive fun
  • Retail outlets too had several discounts and special offers

Mumbai, October 10, 2019: ‘The Urbania Utsav’ held at Rustomjee Urbania in Thane brought with it a breath of excitement and enjoyment for around 500 kids who attended and participated in various activities, classes, and workshops. It was indeed a perfect way to enjoy Navratri, with some ‘retail therapy’ and festive fun for the whole family.

The retail outlets at Rustomjee Urbania had several discounts and special offers which had most of the ladies in raptures about getting the perfect home décor and fashion clothing at bargain prices for the festive season. While normally kids get bored when their parents are on a shopping spree, the Urbania Utsav had arranged for workshops and activities which were not only super fun but also got the children into the festive spirit by enlightening them about our rich culture associated with the festive season.

Leon’s World Centre for Holistic Learning and Development had several engagements for the kids which included Festive Art competition, Decorating Dandiyas, Street Rangoli, Ravan Dahan of a Balloon Ravan Effigy, Dussehra Greeting Cards, Innovative Gift Wrapping etc. Further special festive-inspired activities included Durga Wall Hanging, Designing an Aarti Thali and Diya, Mandala Art, Ramayan Puppet Theatre, Block Printing on Eco-friendly gift bags. Fun games like kid’s photo scavenger hunt, Saving Sita – Kiddie Marathon, minute-to-win added to the upbeat tempo of the Utsav.  Kid’s Dandiya, Garba Dance and Folk music by NSPA artists are embedded in our traditions and were an integral part of the festivities.

A family who lives in Rustomjee Urbania and participated in the celebrations commented, “We have had nothing but pleasant experiences here, the regular events are wonderful just like today’s Urbania Utsav – the best part is that our kids never have time to be bored.”
