Coloured contours to help users quickly identify budget-specific or possession-ready properties

Bangalore, March 13, 2014 : In a move that will drastically reduce the time taken to zero-in on favoured properties, leading real estate portal, PropTiger.com, launched an innovative search based on heat maps showing price variations and property-readiness at a glance. Pilot searches using this new feature demonstrated that the search time dropped by half, allowing users to budget more time for visits and negotiations.

The high visual orientation of the PropTiger heat map is based on price variations on properties and helps to easily filter out locations and properties that fit into the budget of a customer. Apart from the price, the heatmap is also based on the possession date of the property and thus helps user looking at early possession or ready to move in properties from the new launch properties.

Another intuitive feature in this release is the neighbourhood explorer which can be used to preview neighbourhood amenities relative to a property or to a locality. The neighbourhood explorer helps map out all parameters that are important in helping the user make a decision on his property purchase. These include schools, colleges, hospitals, restaurants, petrol pumps, banks, ATMs as well as bus stand, metro/train station and airport.

“Our endeavor at PropTiger has always been to delight the customer and provide him with tools and information to help shorten his real estate purchase cycle. The new map interface comes loaded with lot of features like the neighbourhood explorer, price heatmaps, possession date heatmaps and very high quality pictures to make this possible. The most important aspect when users are looking at this kind of data on any website is the accuracy of data points – we at PropTiger have a dedicated research division which helps collect and bring the best data to the customers,”said Prashan Agarwal, Co-founder, PropTiger.com.
