A Vibrant Night of Gujarat Real Estate’s Accomplishments

Ahmedabad  June 16, 2019:  Realty+, the leading publication dedicated to the real estate industry of India celebrated the 11thRealty+ Conclave and Excellence Award 2019- Gujarat on 14th June in Courtyard by Marriott, Ahmedabad. The vibrant event emphasised the current topics of the sector and honoured the leaders of the industry in the presence of Gujarat realty’s influencers.

The day’s enlightening conclave sessions touched upon the issues ranging from finance and marketing to technology and design as well as the real estate current scenario & trends.

The First Session of the Day “How to be Creative: Traditional & Non-Traditional Capital Sources”deliberated on capital & liquidity issues in real estate. The session was moderated by PavanBakeri, Managing Director, Bakeri Group and the expert panel included Chetan Shah, Executive Director | Kotak Realty Fund, Kotak Investment Advisors Ltd.,FaridKarachiwala, Partner, J. The last but not the least, the design oriented debate on “The Gift that Keeps Giving: Designing Cities for People” moderated by none other than Kartikeya Sarabhai, Founder & Director, Centre For Environment Education and panellists, Ar. Ltd from Mumbai.Ms JankiVasant Founder NGO, Samvedna was also present during the evening.

As the awards night progressed, Realty+ went on to felicitate renowned individuals of the industry with the prestigious ‘Scroll of Honour Trophy’. RBI Holds Repo Rate at 5.25%; Realty Industry Sees Stability as Growth Driver The Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) decision to maintain the repo rate at 5.25% and retain its ‘neutral’ monetary policy stance in the third bi-monthly Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting of FY27 has elicited a measured response from the real estate industry. While the sector had hoped for a rate cut to further enhance home loan affordability and stimulate housing demand, industry leaders believe the RBI’s decision reflects a balanced approach amid elevated global uncertainties, volatile energy prices, and inflationary concerns. They noted that stable interest rates will continue to support buyer confidence, provide financial predictability for developers, and sustain the momentum witnessed in the residential real estate market. Mr. Kamlesh Thakur, President, NAREDCO Maharashtra “The RBI’s decision to maintain the repo rate at 5.25% while retaining a neutral stance reflects a prudent approach amid global uncertainties and evolving inflation dynamics. While the industry was hopeful of a rate cut, policy stability itself provides confidence to both developers and homebuyers. With borrowing costs remaining unchanged, housing demand is expected to continue its momentum, particularly in the mid-income and premium segments. The upward revision of India’s GDP growth projection to 6.7% underscores the resilience of the domestic economy. Going forward, as inflation moderates in line with the RBI’s expectations, there could be room for a more accommodative monetary policy.
