Northern Trust’s office in Pune emerged as one of the three winners for its multisensory and intuitive design
New Delhi, April 16, 2020: Space Matrix, a leading multinational workplace design consultancy firm headquartered in Singapore with a specialization in workplace design and build, recently bagged the award for Best Office Interior at the Asia Pacific Property Awards for three of its projects. These projects include Northern Trust from India, Omnicom Media Group from Singapore and Bridge+ CapitaLand from China. All three received top honors at the International Property Awards.
The Asia Pacific Property Awards (part of the International Property Awards) celebrate the highest levels of achievement by companies operating in all sectors of the property and real estate industry. The awards are a world-renowned mark of excellence and given for the quality of design, construction and presentation of individual properties and property developments, interiors, architecture, and marketing.
Speaking about this, Jaiprakash Aildasani, COO, Space Matrix, said, “We are delighted to have won the award for Best Office Interior for three of our landmark projects at the prestigious International Property Awards. The Northern Trust office is a one-of-its-kind project we undertook – an empathetic and multisensory workplace with employee wellness and inclusivity at its core. This recognition will help us rise to a higher playing field in office design and ensure that we only give our best in terms of future projects as well. We are looking forward to the award ceremony in September this year and the opportunity to network with some stalwarts in the industry as well.”
Northern Trust’s innovative Pune office carries the brand’s value icon, a huge anchor right at the entrance. Space Matrix has strived to balance the energies with distinctive use of warm tones in the work area while giving meeting rooms a calmer appeal. There is an integral acoustical appeal that grants a serene aura to the office. Understanding how the five senses play a vital and complex role in forming thoughts, impressions, and behaviors, Space Matrix has addressed these to help the organization build a strong emotional connection with its employees. Going with the core concept of inclusivity, there are also design cues that enable even the differently-abled to enjoy the wholesome experience.
Adding further, Akshay Lakhanpal, Regional Managing Director, Space Matrix, said, “It is indeed an honor to win this prestigious award. The Northern Trust office was a one-of-its-kind design we created to mirror the organization’s values, emphasizing on employee productivity as a direct outcome of their health and wellness. We wanted to ensure that these values come out appropriately in every way possible, while also being intuitive towards those with special needs maintaining inclusivity. We look forward to the award ceremony in September 2020.”
