Signature Global Group cautious on the safety of workers

Gurugram, March 05, 2021: “Work is essential but workers’ safety is of utmost importance”. Signature Global Group, India’s No. 1 Affordable Housing Company, believes that no work is successfully completed without ensuring safety. National Safety Week is celebrated every year in the country from March 4 to spread awareness about maintaining safety. The Signature Global Group has organized a special event on the occasion of the 50th National Safety Week and encouraged the workers to follow the safety norms. It will be celebrated throughout the week across all construction sites of the company. The event began with Mr. Sanjay Kumar Varshney, Executive Director, Signature Global Group on 4 March 2021, by a flag hoisting in Gurugram at the ‘The Millennia 3’, sector 37D and ‘Proxima’s’, sector 89 construction sites.

This time the theme of Safety Week is – आपदा से सीखें, सुरक्षित भविष्य की तैयारी. With an effort to make them understand, the workers were made to pledge to follow safety rules and prizes were distributed to boost their morale. Giving a special message to everyone, Lalit Aggarwal, Co-founder and Vice President, Signature Global Group said, “Signature Global is an ISO 45001 certified company, which is awarded for the Occupational Health & Safety Management System. We take the safety of every worker on our sites very seriously. For this, we keep organizing awareness campaigns from time to time to convince them to follow the safety rules. Not only safety while working, we also ensure their safety from diseases and ill health while they are working with us. For which regular health check-up camps for labour and their families are organized “.

Sanjay Kumar Varshney, Executive Director, Signature Global Group advised the workers to follow the guidelines. He said, “It is very important to use safety equipment during construction. We do not want to make any kind of lapse, so by all means, they are not just trained during safety week, but otherwise too we keep arranging drills for them on how to take precautions while working at high altitude, how to avoid electrocution etc . Skill development training also happens from time to time, so we make sure that there is no shortage of essential things like PPE kits, safety belts “.

In the coming week, drills on PPE, firefighting, electric shocks along with various competitions on how to be safe while working at altitude will be organized to sensitize workers at every construction site.

Every year, during Signature Global Safety Week Campaign, a series of events for 1 week in a row are organized. This is an occasion when the company motivates the workers and gives them a message to be vigilant about their safety at all times.
