Reaction of Mr. Pankaj Bajaj, President, CREDAI NCR – NGT Lifts Ban on Construction Activities

New Delhi, November 19, 2017: The developers of the NCR are relieved at the decision of The National Green Tribunal (NGT)  lifting  its ban on construction activities — Pankaj Bajaj, President of CREDAI NCR

Mr. Pankaj Bajaj, President, CREDAI NCR, said The developers of the NCR are relieved at the decision by the National Green Tribunal (NGT) to lift the ban on construction. As it is, most projects are have to meet stringent environment and pollution norms to commence construction. They are also regularly audited for their emission levels. A blanket ban does not help the situation and is not the solution. I hope the authorities can find a long term solution to the pollution problem in Delhi NCR rather than finding an easy scapegoat in the form of compliant developers. Though it will take a time to re-mobilise the large construction work but the developers can now focus back on achieving their delivery timelines”.
