Bangalore, May 20, 2016: QuikrHomes, India’s largest real estate platform and the real estate vertical of Quikr, India’s No. 1 cross category classifieds business, has joined hands with Realty Redefined, the leading developer of technology solutions and online products for real estate professionals, to commemorate World Brokers Day on 9th June 2016. The day will witness the leading brokers of India, from multinationals to small businesses, engage in a debate on how the new regulatory and technology environment of real estate will change the shape of brokerage in the future.
World Brokers Day is a unique initiative that honours real estate brokers, recognizing them as essential stakeholders in the industry. Realty Redefined commemorated this day with a special event last year that brought together several broker associations and real estate industry stalwarts. There are about 6-8 lakh brokers in India and this number is growing 20-30% y-o-y as a result of the growth across metropolitan and tier II-III markets.
Commenting further on this initiative, Manish Sinha, Head of QuikrHomes said, “QuikrHomes was launched as an all-inclusive real estate platform for builders, brokers and home seekers. Today, we have the largest number of property listings and unique visits from property seekers in India. We see firsthand how brokers drive a significant part of the transactions on our platform. Brokers have always been instrumental in connecting builders and sellers to potential home owners and we hope to create more opportunities for everyone to work together through our investment in World Brokers Day.”
Mayank Vora, Co-Founder of Realty Redefined added that, “World Brokers Day demonstrates how brokers are a close knit community and work together to leverage technology for higher professionalism in their services. We will continue to bring real estate brokers together to share best practices and introduce the latest in technology to empower them with what’s out there in the market. Last year we had an overwhelming response with over 750 small, mid to large consultancies participating in the event. This year will be way bigger!”
Investing in a property like World Brokers Day is Quikr’s way of extending its support to the broker community in a bid to honour them as an integral part of the real estate ecosystem.
Quikr acquired Indian Realty Exchange- IRX, a mobile-first aggregator of real estate broker community.
