Parryware contributes towards a Sustainable future with GRIHA SUMMIT 2017

New Delhi, March 09, 2017: Keeping true the values of innovation and sustainability, Parryware, India’s leading manufacturer of bathroom products in association with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) have taken the initiative to power the “GRIHA Summit 2017”. Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment (GRIHA) attempts to minimize a building’s resource consumption, waste generation, and overall ecological impact within certain nationally acceptable limits and benchmarks.

The theme of the two days summit is “Transforming Habitats” which focuses on driving design and construction of sustainable habitats across the country. The major issue of relationships between urban governance and capacities to transform, innovate and shape the future of the cities, will be discussed.

The annual summit serves as a knowledge sharing platform amongst government bodies, academia, civil society organizations and professionals from different disciplines like architecture, engineering and construction. The GRIHA 2017 summit, is in line with government’s agenda for smart cities, inclusive growth and role of technology in sustainable development. It focuses on the future of construction technologies, tackling the growing cooling demand through co-operation and co-creation of models for Green cooling technologies, growing water scarcity in cities, choosing green products and techniques for sustainable development. Also, the issue and challenges in green financing, transforming habitats through sustainable and resilient buildings, policy tools to promote energy efficiency in buildings, health & well-being and environmental quality, will be addressed.

As a part of the summit, Parryware showcased its eco-friendly products in the Green House. Few of the products exhibited are – Single lever basin mixer, BEE 5 star water heater, urinal, faucet endorsed by GRIHA. Parryware’s water efficient products set the benchmark for design, engineering, manufacturing, selection, installation and maintenance of water-efficient plumbing products for domestic and commercial applications in India.
