CK Birla group company Orient Cement Ltd’s net profit more than doubled at Rs.85 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2015, compared with Rs. 26 crore in the year-ago period. The revenue of the company, however, declined marginally at Rs. 394 crore ( Rs. 401 crore). For the full year, revenue and net profit increased 8 per cent and 93 per cent at Rs. 1,547 crore and Rs. 194 crore, respectively, as per the results announced by the company on Friday. In an interaction with theBusinessLine , its MD and CEO said the increase in profit was driven by optimisation of operational costs and better market realisation.
