NEW OFFICE BEARERS ELECTED FOR CII – TAMIL NADU STATE COUNCIL FOR THE YEAR 2025-26

Chennai, March 15, 2025:  Mr A R Unnikrishnan, Managing Director – Glass, Glass Solutions and Homes & Hospitality Business, Saint-Gobain India Pvt Ltd, Chennai has been elected as Chairman of CII Tamil Nadu State Council for the year 2025-26. 

Mr Unnikrishnan is the Managing Director of Saint-Gobain India Pvt Ltd, overseeing the Glass, Glass Solutions, and Homes & Hospitality businesses. He has over 32 years of experience in the industry.

In CII, he held various roles including Vice Chairman of CII Tamil Nadu State Council 2023-24, Chairman of the CII TN CEO Forum, Chairman of CII Green Product Council, CII National Manufacturing Council, Research Council of CSIR-CGCRI, and the Executive Board of the Indian Green Building Council.

He is also the Vice-President of Madras Management Association and a Member of the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce Governing Council. Beyond his professional role at Saint-Gobain, he is a thought leader across various fora in the areas of Sustainability and Policy development.

Mr C Devarajan, Managing Director, URC Constructions (P) Ltd, Erode has been elected as Vice Chairman of CII Tamil Nadu State Council for the year 2025-26.

Mr C Devarajan is the Managing Director of URC Constructions (P) Ltd. and Past Chairman of CII Erode. He has around 37 years of experience in the construction and infrastructure development sector. Under his leadership, URC has expanded into real estate, software, sustainable textiles and agriculture. Today, the 65-year-old URC business provides direct and indirect employment to around 10,000 families.

He is also a Board Member of ILCE, an initiative focused on efficiency improvement in the construction and infrastructure sector. He is the Co-Founder and Vice Chairman of Texvalley, Erode, and Prathinithi at the Kasturba Gandhi National Memorial Trust Institute, Erode. Additionally, he is one of the founding members and Vice Chairman of Olirum Erode Foundation, Erode.
