New Delhi is hosting the Biggest Event for Women in Architecture, Interior Design, Painting and Photography – WADe ASIA

New Delhi, August 03, 2018: WADe ASIA 1st platform of Asia to celebrate Women-led Development in Architecture, Design and Art began in 2016 as an enthusiastic nationwide platform for Woman Architects & Designers of India. Today, this founded by Vertica Dvivedi has appeared as a platform to Celebrate & Spread “Women-led Development” in India,  great event platform for connecting brands with specifiers, architects and designers. It is an attempt to bring-out women in architecture & interior design on a common stage to exchange ideas, identify contribution, discuss issues and execute solutions.

In 2016,  WADe had the attendance of eminent architects & interior designers from across India. Some of the delegates include Guest of Honour Dr. Kiran Bedi, Chief Guest Dr. Nazma Heptulla, Designers Sussanne Khan & her mom, Zarine Khan. Celebrity Television actor Hussain Kuwajerwala anchored the event.

WADe Asia 2017  had an apt dose of entertainment as well. Keynote addresses were by Ar. Christopher Benninger, Ar. Nela De Zoysa from Sri Lanka, and Padma Bhushan awardee artist Sethi. Bollywood Actress Bhagyashree and Singer Hema Sardesai also graced the event with their presence.

Amidst celebrations, recognitions and togetherness, there were deep emotional moments as well. When the name of octogenarian Didi Contractor was called on stage, Actress Bhagyashree who was on stage to give away the award stepped down to present the award to Didi sitting among the audience. The beautiful actress with the lovely heart said, “Didi doesn’t have to come up the stage for award. We will go to her.”

Quick talks by Change Makers, a series of short talks by Young & Enterprising Designers on varied subjects was also loved by all.

Popular celebrity designer Manjeet Bhullar was a part of panel discussion along with daughter Anhad Bhullar, Ar. Bobby Mukherjee from Mumbai, Dr. Sheetal Jain of Luxe Analytics, and author of Decoding Luxe Mahul Brahma.

WADe has become a fertile ground for people of the design industry (not restricted to women) to assemble, discuss, debate, and also celebrate developments & design led by women.

RBI Holds Repo Rate at 5.25%; Realty Industry Sees Stability as Growth Driver The Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) decision to maintain the repo rate at 5.25% and retain its ‘neutral’ monetary policy stance in the third bi-monthly Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting of FY27 has elicited a measured response from the real estate industry. While the sector had hoped for a rate cut to further enhance home loan affordability and stimulate housing demand, industry leaders believe the RBI’s decision reflects a balanced approach amid elevated global uncertainties, volatile energy prices, and inflationary concerns. They noted that stable interest rates will continue to support buyer confidence, provide financial predictability for developers, and sustain the momentum witnessed in the residential real estate market. Mr. Kamlesh Thakur, President, NAREDCO Maharashtra “The RBI’s decision to maintain the repo rate at 5.25% while retaining a neutral stance reflects a prudent approach amid global uncertainties and evolving inflation dynamics. While the industry was hopeful of a rate cut, policy stability itself provides confidence to both developers and homebuyers. With borrowing costs remaining unchanged, housing demand is expected to continue its momentum, particularly in the mid-income and premium segments. The upward revision of India’s GDP growth projection to 6.7% underscores the resilience of the domestic economy. Going forward, as inflation moderates in line with the RBI’s expectations, there could be room for a more accommodative monetary policy.
