Maitreya Realtors celebrates World Environment Day

Celebrates environment day by planting trees, movie screening on environment and activity on making creative items out of recyclable materials with children of Adhartirth Adharashram at Maitreya Greens.

Plans organising12 events in a year that caters towards environment & sustainable living 

Nashik, June 07, 2014: World Environment Day is conducted to encourage worldwide awareness and action for the environment. Maitreya Realtors & Constructions Pvt. Ltd. (MRCPL), the construction arm of the Maitreya Group of Companies celebrated World Environment Day with the children of Adhartirth Adharashram (An NGO which supports the orphan children of farmers who committed suicide) engaged in activities that educate them on environment. The company also announced that they would be planning to organize 12 events in a year focused on creating environment awareness and sustainable development for which they aim to associate with corporates and other segments of society to support green initiatives.

The event also saw children of Adhartirth Adharashram engaged in activities that educate them on environment. Present at the occasion was Dr. Shobha Bacchav, Former Health Minister of Maharashtra, Chandrashekhar Patil, Co-partner, Chanakya Infrastructure, Mr. Tryambakrao Gaikwad, Trustee of Adhartirth Adharashram , Mr. Umesh Bahvsar – Regional Manager, Maitreya Realtors & Constructions Pvt. Ltd and Mr. Jignesh Sevak, National Head Sales & Marketing, Maitreya Realtors & Constructions Pvt. Ltd.

The ceremony began with the company official talking about Maitreya Environment Campaign and then talking to the children of Adhartirth Adharashram on what is environment day and importance behind sustainable development. The felicitation was followed by a movie screening educating the children on the importance of maintaining green environment and a significant role an individual can play in improving the environmental problem. It was then followed by teaching children creative items made out of waste materials and recycled papers. Children enjoyed making paper bags, pen holder and various creative items. The event concluded with the tree plantation activity conducted with the children at Maitreya Greens.

Dr. Shobha Bacchav, Former Health Minister of Maharashtra supporting this initiative mentioned that, ‘I am really honored to be a part of this social activity conducted by Maitreya Realtors on this world environment day.
