GROHE named as one of Germany’s most innovative mid-sized companies


“TOP 100” mark awards presented at Deutscher Mittelstands-Summit event by German TV personality Ranga Yogeshwar

New Delhi, July 01, 2014 : GROHE continues to lead the German sanitary sector by stimulating and driving innovation in the industry. The judges at the ‘TOP 100’ innovation awards named the company as a ‘Top Innovator’, impressed by the company’s multi-faceted efforts and its targeted investments in research and development. Andrea Bußmann, Regional Vice President Sales Central Europe, and Dr. Ulrike Heuser-Greipl, press officer of GROHE Group, accepted this noted award at the Deutscher Mittelstands-Summit held in the Colosseum Theater Essen, Germany, on June 27. The awards were presented to Germany’s most innovative mid-sized companies by science journalist and TV personality Ranga Yogeshwar, who once again served as mentor for the award programme.

Attended by almost a thousand high-calibre guests, the event was compèred by Jan Hofer, one of Germany’s best-known TV news presenters. The award presentation was preceded by a strict selection process. Innovation researcher professor Nikolaus Franke and his team at the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation scrutinised all nominees, evaluating their professional innovation management and the concrete success of their innovation efforts.

The judges were particularly impressed with GROHE’s pro-active involvement in the ‘Future Bizz’ network and its future-oriented development work and creative innovations in the design and manufacture of water fittings. In research and development alone, GROHE Germany employees some 130 people, mainly engineers and technicians from a variety of disciplines. For numerous years, these activities have yielded innovative technologies, many of which have had a profound influence on the market.
