Hyderabad, September 26, 2016: Gayatri Projects Ltd has bagged a Rs. 1,255-crore highways contract in Odisha through a joint venture with Russian construction company PTPS.
The project entails rehabilitation and upgradation of Angul-Sambalpur section of National Highway 42 (new NH 55) between km 112 to 265 km in Odisha.
The project has been awarded under the National Highways Development Programme IV to be executed under the EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) mode.
The Hyderabad-based construction and infrastructure company had earlier this year decided to capitalise on the growing EPC opportunities being adopted in a number of sectors, industries, national highway projects, water distribution and underground mining.
In the past 18 months, the company’s order book has more than doubled to over Rs. 10,000 crore on robust inflow of orders. All these orders are being taken up on EPC mode, the company informed the BSE.
The highways developed under the NHDP-IV project have played a role in transformation of highways transport in the country.
The company shares closed at Rs. 668.70, up 1.65 per cent on the BSE today. -Hindu Business Line
