Emaar MGF Spreads Warmth in the Lives of Site Workers


Company distributes 10,000 blankets under its unique ‘Gift a Smile’ campaign
Gurgaon, Jan 17, 2015: Emaar MGF, India’s leading real estate developer, initiated its annual ‘Gift a Smile’ campaign today to bring warmth and happiness in the lives of construction workers. In line with its philosophy of ‘welfare for all’, the Company has started distributing blankets to the labourers working at its projects pan India, as the nation is undergoing a severe cold wave.

The Company has distributed 10000 blankets over the week at its various project sites like Emerald Hills, Palm Drive, Palm Garden, Palm Terraces Select and Marbella in Gurgaon; Mohali Hills in Mohali and Gomti Greens in Lucknow. The ‘Gift a Smile’ campaign is one amongst the several CSR initiatives conducted by the Company throughout the year. Under this program, the Company has distributed 35000 blankets over the years to the construction workers, helping them face the extreme weather conditions in an effective manner.

Speaking on this occasion Mr. Shravan Gupta, Executive Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Emaar MGF Land Limited said, “At Emaar MGF, our belief has always been to give back to the society we operate in, especially the communities we engage with. Therefore, we place emphasis on adding value to everything we do for all our stakeholders including our customers and patrons, employees and workers, vendors and partners, government and the humanity at large. He further added, “It is extremely heartening to spread happiness in the lives of our construction workforce. It is on account of their hard work that we are able to provide our customers with dream homes and office spaces. These small but remarkable initiatives enable us to touch their lives and establish a long-term relationship, thereby uplifting their living standards and building a strong workforce.

Emaar MGF, known for its high quality and internationally designed projects, undertakes various CSR activities every year. It had recently organised health camps for its site workers on World AIDS Day. The company has been conducting activities like gift distribution to children of construction workers, blood donation camps, safety awareness campaigns and tree plantation drives on a regular basis at its project sites. It also runs Mobile Crèches for children of site labourers taking care of their education, nutrition and health. Moreover, Emaar MGF has contributed to various relief funds for floods in Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand and Odisha; in addition to associating with NGOs working in the field of disability, education and healthcare.CCI Newswire
