DLF Malls become first in the country to achieve Five Star Rating in the British Safety Council’s Occupational Health & Safety Audit

This is in addition to 17 Commercial Office Complexes for which the company achieved the Five Star Rating last year

New Delhi, Aug 07 , 2015: India’s leading real estate company, DLF Ltd is pleased to announce that its Mall complexes in Delhi & Gurgaon are the first in the country to receive the prestigious Five Star rating from British Safety Council. This is the highest rating that is awarded by British Safety Council to recognize the “Best in class” in Occupational Health & Safety management system. This award recognizes DLF’s adherence to world class safety and compliance standards. The DLF Malls, located in Delhi and Gurgaon, were audited on 66 parameters of Occupational Health and Safety Management system.

The properties which received the 5 star rating in occupational health & safety management category are:

Emporio Mall – New Delhi

Promenade Mall – New Delhi

DLF Place, Saket Mall – New Delhi

Multi Level Car Park & Mall, BKSM – New Delhi

Multi level Car Mark & Mall, Sarojini Nagar – New Delhi

Cyber Hub – Gurgaon

BSC Five star certification not only enhances Mall’s safety performance and productivity but also potentially reduce accidents and occupational ill health. DLF Malls being the first Malls in India to get the five star ratings, stands tall with enhanced reputation and brand image.

The Five Star audit criterion is very stringent. The Five Star audit System covers the entire spectrum of Occupational Health & Safety Management, covering 5 Sections and 66 Elements / Process. In order to get a 5-Star rating, a minimum of 92% has to be obtained out of a total score of 5000 points, whereas DLF Malls scored more than 96 %, which is an achievement in itself.

This certification is in addition to the 17 Commercial Office Complexes for which company had got Five Star rating in 2014. Following is the list of seventeen buildings; Gateway Tower, Ericsson, Infinity Tower, Building No. 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 / 9 / 10 / 14, Cyber Green, Atria, Plaza Tower, Square Tower, SEZ Silokhera, IBM Silokhera and Center Court.
