Karnal / New Delhi, Feb 07, 2015: With an aim to empower young students and promote sustainable development across the country, the Confederation of Real Estate Developers Associations of India, National Capital Region (CREDAI NCR) today donated 04 Mobile Science Labs to Agastya Foudation, a charitable education trust that runs the world’s largest mobile hands-on science education program for economically disadvantaged children and teachers. In an event organised at Panchayat Bhawan, Karnal, Honb’le Chief Minister of Haryana, Shri Manohar Lal Khattar facilitated Agastya Foundation with the science labs on behalf of CREDAI NCR. The Foundation will help disadvantaged students of various government schools to learn science through experiments.
Speaking on the occasion Shri Khattar, Honb’le Chief Minister said, “”I t is a very unique and prestigious initiative taken up by CREDAI NCR and Agastya Foundation. Mobile Science Lab Vans would help school children know the various aspects of Science and its wonders and will help generate a curiosity in their minds. I thank our Deputy Commissioner for conceptualising this.
Talking about this unique initiative Shri Getamber Anand, President Elect, CREDAI National said, “India is a young nation whose future lies on the strong shoulders of these students. It, therefore, becomes our responsibility to educate them today for a brighter future ahead. We are extremely happy to do our bit to shape India’s future. We have started with a small step but promise to continue it for the betterment of our society. We thank Honb’le Chief Minister for his support and his august presence on this occasion.”
Shri Rohit Raj Modi, President, CREDAI NCR said, “Every corporate must contribute towards making its society strong and there cannot be a better way than to educate & empower it’s students who are the future of India. Members of CREDAI have been performing various CSR activities in their personal capacities like running school for site workers’ children, crèches, technical training for the workers, safety and hygiene campaigns etc. Member Developers also performed their duties at the time of national tragedies in Uttarakhand and Orissa when the two states were tormented by natural calamities recently. To continue its duties, CREDAI intends to donate more such vans in near future to help students learn and establish themselves in the society. CCI Newswire
