CREDAI Karnataka announces CREDAI STATECON 2019 to discuss various reforms of real estate sector on November 14-15, 2019

Bengaluru, November 14, 2019: CREDAI Karnataka (Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India) announced CREDAI STATECON 2019 – a state-level real estate convention to be held on November 14 and 15, 2019 at Hotel Four Seasons Bangalore. The two day convention will witness developers from different chapters of CREDAI Karnataka. The conference will be organized on the theme “Housing for All – Agility in the Changing Landscape” and will have panel discussions on various issues pertaining to the real estate sector in the country.

Sri B S Yediyurappa, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka, will be the Chief Guest at the inaugural event along with the host of other ministers. CREDAI STATECON 2019 is an annual event organized by CREDAI Karnataka chapter and brings together all the developers from the state to discuss the different aspects of real estate sector. The two day event will throws light on the recent developments in the sector, challenges, trends and plans for the future. A host of thought leaders from real estate industry will be part of the panel discussions at the STATECON 2019 along with key decision makers who will discuss about the issues that confront the real estate sector in Karnataka.

On inaugural day, discussions will be held on current real estate scenario and future of the industry in the state viz. ‘Ease of Doing Business – Housing for all in Karnataka’ and `Future of Real Estate Business, Investment & Finance in Karnataka’ and `Marketing Tools’.

On the second day, there will be brainstorming discussion on Start Ups with active participation from Youth Wing of CREDAI Karnataka. Shi. Nalin Kumar Kateel, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party will inaugurate the conference on the second day. This will be followed by motivational speech by renowned International Management and Spiritual Master Swami Swami Sukhabodhananda.

Talking about CREDAI STATECON 2019 and real estate sector in Karnataka, Dr. V K Jagadish Babu, Chairman, CREDAI Karnataka said, “CREDAI STATECON 2019 is one of the unique conventions organized to bring all our member developers together. Karnataka has been witnessing enormous growth in terms of real estate sector. Alongside Bangalore, the other tier 2 and 3 cities in the state have started witnessing demand for residential projects in the affordable, mid and luxury segments. Expansion of most of the IT companies in these cities coupled with evolution of startup firms in these markets have definitely given a boost to the sector. Also, since housing is one of the basic necessities, people have started investing in real estate properties majorly, thanks to our prime minister and his initiatives on affordable housing segments”.

Commenting on the real estate investments in Karnataka, Mr. Austin Roach, President, CREDAI Karnataka said, “Investor community are showing great interest to invest in Karnataka owing to the growth offered by the state. Bengaluru, the Silicon Valley of India, has always shown demand for housing projects and, the expansion of MNCs in the tier 2 and 3 cities has increased the inflow of talent in these locations thereby, raising the demand for homes in these cities as well. Stable real estate rates, quality, high returns on the investments attracting many foreign investors to invest in the residential and commercial projects in the state.”

Highlighting on organizing STATECON 2019 Mr. Kishore Jain, President, CREDAI Bengaluru said, “These kinds of conventions always help us explore and exchange our ideas and innovate new ways to help our customers. We discuss policies, customers benefit and ways to improve our services. With marquee announcements, real estate sector is undergoing a lot of changes and amendments and this will enhance the sector in the future. These enhancements will improve the industry further and benefit the customers.”

RBI Holds Repo Rate at 5.25%; Realty Industry Sees Stability as Growth Driver The Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) decision to maintain the repo rate at 5.25% and retain its ‘neutral’ monetary policy stance in the third bi-monthly Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting of FY27 has elicited a measured response from the real estate industry. While the sector had hoped for a rate cut to further enhance home loan affordability and stimulate housing demand, industry leaders believe the RBI’s decision reflects a balanced approach amid elevated global uncertainties, volatile energy prices, and inflationary concerns. They noted that stable interest rates will continue to support buyer confidence, provide financial predictability for developers, and sustain the momentum witnessed in the residential real estate market. Mr. Kamlesh Thakur, President, NAREDCO Maharashtra “The RBI’s decision to maintain the repo rate at 5.25% while retaining a neutral stance reflects a prudent approach amid global uncertainties and evolving inflation dynamics. While the industry was hopeful of a rate cut, policy stability itself provides confidence to both developers and homebuyers. With borrowing costs remaining unchanged, housing demand is expected to continue its momentum, particularly in the mid-income and premium segments. The upward revision of India’s GDP growth projection to 6.7% underscores the resilience of the domestic economy.
