Antriksh Sanskriti buyers suffer due to non-delivery of their dream homes even after 7 years

Delhi,  January 27, 2018:  More than 1000 homebuyers, who bought flats in the under-construction residential project Antriksh Sanskriti on NH-24, have not got possession of their units despite a lapse of around 7 years. The project was launched in 2011, and the developer Antriksh Realtech Pvt Ltd had agreed to hand over the possession of 1200 flats under this project by November 2014, but till date the project is far from complete.

Several meetings have been held with the firm’s directors in this regard, but no positive outcome has come out of it,” said Vishal Duggal, who had booked a two-bedroom flat in Antriksh Sanskriti in 2011.”The developer has not only violated the terms and conditions of the Builder-Buyer Agreement but also caused severe financial difficulties to homebuyers. We are forced to pay the EMIs of bank loans as well as rentals for our leased accommodations. Most of us have already paid 90%-95% of the amount (Rs 30 lakh to Rs 60 lakh per flat) to the builder,” said Jiten Kumar Dalai, another complainant, who is also the President of Antriksh Sanskriti Group of Buyers. The buyers said that they had been pursuing the matter with the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Real Estate Regulation Act (RERA)authorities and others for early resolution of the issue over a long time but no tangible result has come out so far.

The builder has been dishonouring new project deadlines with impunity. This is in gross violation of the norms of RERA that stipulate stringent punishment against inordinate delay in project delivery.

Manish Kumar, another buyer of the project said that looking at the current status of the project, it does not seem that the flats will be handed over any time soon. “The work is taking place at a very slow pace with only around 100 labourers at the 12-acre project site,” he lamented.

The authorities are clearly required to intervene to save thousands of buyers from indescribable stress and suffering. Their timely action will save the consumers from losing their hard-earned money.
