The NRI Institute Hosted a Dinner to honor and facilitate people who have made India proud.

Bengaluru, November 19, 2015 : Diplomats and former bureaucrats were in attendance at the event hosted by Secretary General, NRI Institute, Mr. Manu Jagmohan Singh on 13th November, 2015 . The evening provided an incredible opportunity for meeting and interaction with the delegates.

The event took place at The Leela Palace.The guest list for the evening comprised of H.E. Mr. Petko DoyKo Ambassador- Bulgaria, H.E. Mr. Demetrios Theophy Lactou , Ambassador – Cyprus, H.E Hatem EL Sayed Tagelden, Ambassador- Egypt, H.E Dembo M Badjie, Ambassador- Gambia, H.E Hassan M AL Jawarneh, Ambassador, Jordan, H.E Dr. Sabit Subasic- Ambassador, Herzegovina, Roman Masarik and Mrs. Masarik, Deputy Head Mission, Czech Republic, Umit Alpaslan Kilic, Deputy Head Mission, Turkey, Ahmad and Tina, UN Security Advisor, Satish Upadhyay, President of Delhi Unit BJP, Dr. Ron Oberstein and Dr. Brian Kelly, Chiropractors, USA along with a team of 50 Doctors from United States and Canada, United Kingdom and Bangkok.

The Pride of Indian awards was given to select group of people of Indian origin living in India and abroad for their outstanding achievements in the chosen field of activities and their contribution to the socio-economic development of India along with the country of their adoption. Among the Awardees were Music Legend Pandit Bhajan Sopori, KTS Tulsi, Mayank Soni, Dr, Saini and Mrs. Sudha Gupta.

Some of the eminent personalities who have graced the earlier events of NRI Institute are Shri Pranab Mukherjee, Manmohan Singh, Shri I. K. Gujral, Dr L M Singhvi, Lord Swraj Paul, Lord Bilimoria, Shri Kapil Sibal, Shri Subodh Kant Sahay, Smt. Sheila Dikshit, Shri J D Tytler, Shri Shashi Tharoor, Dr Mahesh Sharma and many others.


A non-profit NGO, Registered body of People of Indian Origin founded in the Year 1989, aims to provide a platform for the Indians living in India and abroad. The Institute highlights the achievements of NRIs and PIOs in their chosen field of activities. It brings out a Newsletter updating NRIs the world over about the socio-economic and political happenings taking place in India

The magazines; NRI World and Real Estate Observer were released by the ambassadors of Bulgaria, Egypt, Cyprus, Latvia, Gambia, Croatia, Afghanistan and many other dignitaries present to grace the occasion.

The NRI Institute in association with BIB Media publishes NRI WORLD – Connecting Indian Diaspora, “India’s only magazine that celebrates the achievements of Peoples of Indian Origin settled in foreign countries”.

NRI INSTITUTE, over the years, has established Chapters in 23 countries including UK, UAE, Oman, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bangkok, Mauritius, Seychelles, Madagascar, Fiji, Trinidad & Tobago, Angola, Reunion Island, Singapore, Germany, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and USA in Washington DC, New York, California and New Jersey.

The main objective is to encourage overseas Indians to be a part of socio economic activities taking place in India and abroad.
