Tata Housing Presents Delhi WallBook

Tata Housing Development Company Limited (THDC); India’s fastest growing real estate developer in an effort to support the art and culture of the capital city,takes the initiative to design the first longest wall painting activity in New Delhi –   The Delhi Wallbook. The event will be on 24 th   February   2013 from 9:00am –   3:00pm at   Delhi University – North Campus ,University Road, Maurice Nagar.

Tata Housing is encouraging the Delhi-ites to speak their mind for a Delhi they desire by using their imagination highlighting the greatest need for change and expressing it with the beauty of colours and graphics.

After the roaring success of the Mumbai Wallbook in May last year, Tata Housing is creating a platform for societal change makers to be vociferous about their need for change. For this, their canvas will be the 1kilometre wall along the North Campus of the Delhi University; a cradle of knowledge and intellect. Nearly 500 graphic artists and painters are expected to participate in this movement to reestablish the power of the people over that of authority and dominance.

Speaking on the Tata Housing initiative, TheDelhi Wallbook,   Mr. Rajeeb Dash, Head of Marketing at Tata Housing   said, “This is the second chapter of the Wallbook series.  Delhi has been so vocal about their rights as citizens of India, so it was befitting for Tata Housing to provide a canvas for them to paint their emotions on. We hope for some creative imagery of realistic issues and participation for all who seek change.Tata Housing has been known for its association with arts and culture is organizing the   Delhi Wallbook , which embodies the citizen’s call for a better tomorrow.”

Expressing his views on the event, Mr.SunilKuttyMenon, Founder, Delhi Wallbook said , “We firmly believe Art as a tool and a freedom of   expression will help DESIGN   THE CHANGE   for the betterment of society plagued with social evils. It would also awaken the responsible caretakers of the society by reminding them time and again their responsibility whenever they cross the Delhi University”

Painters of all genres will participate in the event and get a chance to interact with other experienced artists. This event will provide budding artists a chance to showcase their work out in the open. These artists will be crafting magic on the walls as their canvas. Through this, they will convey the transformation they want to make for a better tomorrow. The activity will be judged by eminent people from the Industry.

The Delhi WallBook is an initiative of Brand Promotions India Pvt. Ltd., presented by Tata Housing to bring professional, amateur and budding artists on the same platform to create an expression for a better tomorrow.
