CREDAI Bengaluru Announces CREDAI Cricket Tournament 2017 from Nov 4-26

CCT Open to Bengaluru-based IT/ITeS Companies and CREDAI Developer Members
and its Associates.

Bengaluru, November 03, 2017: CREDAI Bengaluru will be hosting a high adrenaline Cricket Tournament at St John’s Medical College Grounds, Koramangala, scheduled to take place across 4 weekends in November, from November 4th to 26th. This tournament will mark the beginning of an annual event that is only poised to get bigger and better. The Championship Trophy will be a rolling one. These Saturday-Sunday knockout matches will have 32 of the top IT/ITeS companies and 30 CREDAI Developers members and their associates forming teams to participate. The tournament promises to be a platform to showcase cricketing talent as well as to forge relationships among professionals from various sectors.

Speaking on this tournament, Mr. Adarsh Narahari, Secretary, CREDAI Bengaluru says, “The immense success of the CREDAI Bengaluru Cricket League 2012 saw a sustained demand for a similar event that would involve professionals from other sectors as well. Considering how important fostering relationship is, and the unifying abilities of a good game of cricket, CREDAI Cricket Tournament (CCT) 2017 came about. We look forward to some great participation and some nail-biting matches”.

Speaking on this maiden CCT 2017, Mr Errol Fernandes, Treasurer CREDAI – Bengaluru and Chairman CCT 2017 says, “Sports has always been a means of bringing together people. This event is a great idea to encourage new relations outside of a boardroom. Bringing together business and sports can many a times work towards mutual benefit”.

The CCT 2017 Tournament will be played on a knock-out basis every Saturday and Sunday of November. These will be played in natural light from 7.30AM to 4PMacross Grounds B (for the developers) and Ground C (for the IT/ITeS participants). Each match will be of 8 overs, with the semi-final and finals having 10 overs each. The final match will be played between a CREDAI member team and an IT/ITeS team. The winning team will receive cash awards of Rs 1 Lakh plus a winner trophy, Runners Up will receive Rs 50,000 and a trophy and the 2nd Runners Up will receive Rs 25,000 and a trophy. Individual prizes will also include:

  • Man of the Match
  • Best Batsman in all matches
  • Best Bowler in all matches

The Final Match will include prizes for the same categories as above. There will also be a CCT Man of the Tournament awarded given as well.
