Having a big lavish property always features in an individual's bucket list. However, given the sky-reaching prices of real estate today, it looks like a distant dream. Experts of the field have time and again cautioned how in the recent times, real estate purchases and sales have dipped. Creating a synergy point between the buyers and sellers, group home buying is a unique catalyst for both buyers and sellers.
Often perceived as a new trend in real estate market, group home buying goes back 50 years. To be precise, group home buying has been plugged as a practical solution for property buyers looking to get attractive discounts. In earlier days, when a stakeholder wanted to buy a flat, a builder would give him a final offer. But with the advent of the group home buying concept, like-minded buyers can now join hands and close the property transactions at attractive prices.
PUNE: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) recently allocated 112 flats constructed under the Basic Services to Urban Poor (BSUP) to the project-affected people.
The Centre had approved 20,528 tenements for the urban poor under the BSUP. However, the PMC has, so far, managed to construct only 2,294 tenements while the construction of 3,474 tenements is on. There has been no progress on plans to construct another 14,760 tenements.
The state has asked the civic body to submit a report explaining the status of its plan, which was to construct all the tenements by March 2012.
Municipal commissioner Mahesh Pathak on Monday said, “The PMC has allocated 112 flats in Warje scheme to those affected by road construction and nullahs. The PMC will complete the remaining allocation and construction on priority.”
NEW DELHI : From hiring domestic brand ambassadors to international ones, Indian real estate companies are going global. So far, realty companies have been hiring Indian icons like M S Dhoni, Shah Rukh Khan, Sushmita Sen , Yuvraj Singh and Gautam Gambhir to promote their projects. But now, with increasing purchasing power and more and more premium products being launched, companies are tying up with foreign brand ambassadors to push their projects.
This also helps them in marketing their apartments and houses in international markets, mainly to NRIs.
Realty company Homestead has roped in Michael Schumacher and Maria Sharapova to promote its projects in Gurgaon.
DUBAI : The decline in value of rupee over the last one year is luring NRIs living in the UAE to buy property in India even if the price stretched up to one crore or more, according to a survey.
According to the survey conducted here by Sumansa Exhibitions who are organisers of Indian Property Show, 89 per cent of NRIs (non-resident Indians) in the UAE are planning to leverage the power of their additional income by investing in properties worth up to 1 crore and beyond.
The weakening rupee gives more power to dirham currency that they have and current sluggish market enables them to buy properties at a cheaper rate in India , it said.
It added that 26.7 per cent NRIs are looking to buy properties as additional investment, a sharp rise of 6 per cent in one year.
ET Now: What are you buying on the muhurat day?
Raamdeo Agrawal: I have still not gone to the trading floor. I will definitely be doing something, but I was just wondering what to buy in the sense that there is so much of excitement in the market now. Certainly in the last 2-3 months, the mood has changed so much that it looks that we are in for a good time. So I have little money left. I will go and buy the same stocks what I have in our portfolio. So that is it what I am going to do.
ET Now: So would it be SBI BSE -0.85 % , Central Bank BSE 1.48 % as well as Hero MotoCorp BSE -0.36 % again or are there newer names that you would want to punch in this Diwali?
