New Delhi, September 18, 2015: Ashiana Housing Ltd, pioneers of Senior Living in India, to organize the 2nd edition of Inter Senior Citizen Games – Jashn 2015 on October 3-4, 2015 at Bhiwadi. Jashn 2015, the second edition is one-of-its-kind events in India and will see over 500 senior citizens’ (aged 50-85) participation.
These senior citizens are proving that age is just a number. Seniors of age group 50 to 85 are all set to participate in 2 days inter senior citizen games to be held in Bhiwadi. After months of practice, and preparations winning teams from all three locations Bhiwadi, Lavasa and Jaipur have got finalized who will compete on the state level in Jashn 2015.
It will hold some special activities to make the two days, the most memorable moments in their lives. Unlike the popular belief that life ends when you grow old, it is an accepted truth that it just marks the end of first innings and starting of another yet interesting innings of life. Probably, everyone would agree that it is that phase of life when one can live the way he/she wants without having to worry about society, family, kids, job and what not.
“The purpose of the games is to keep senior citizens involved, social and active. Participants are on a schedule with which they can train and participate in local games to qualify for the state finals. They’re staying active instead of sitting down and knitting. Some of the key sports activities that will take place during the event would be Table Tennis tournament, Badminton, Chess, Carom game and a mini marathon. Besides sports activities, there would be competitions like flower arrangements, salad making, Rangoli competition singing and dancing. Further, a glittering ramp show will also be organised where senior citizen will walk the ramp.
Like last year, this year too, the senior citizens are excited to be a part of this glittering event Ms. Amita Shaw Participant from Bhiwadi, says, “the senior games are a great way to stay active and live life joyfully.”
